Default Twenty grand for my old 2001 TJ?

Bought my first new TJ in 97, started running 33's a year or so latter, fast forward to 2000...
...sold it for $25,000 to a buddy and went straight out and bought another new one, only this time I had hindsite! fast forward to yesterday...

I was enjoying a coffee with a friend at my local Cafe. Here I am with my dream car just the way I want it:
long arms, rear disks, sye, 4:10, locker, 33's, beadlocks, winch, leather steering wheel and throw in a short throw shifter that screams PISS OFF! if you can't drive a manwel

I cant stop driving it, I'm smitten!
Ive got most of what I could ever wish for in a TJ, it drives & handles more like it's stock but with 33's, what am I saying, it drives better then stock! way better, who wouldn't be little envious of that?

...and then this french bloke comes along and spoils it all by asking "how much?", here we go again

I looked him square in the eyes and said five grand, he says "OK",
so I stood up behind my friend (xG'friend) and replied "she's all yours!".
as I tried to run off she backhanded me in the balls. Once they returned to my scrotum I realized this Bloke was serious, "How much!" he says

So I said (higher voice), "twenty grand ", he's like (carm as Capt. Sully, "OK"

I thought pipedreamer and gave him my number but he called me today and I had to tell him it's....

This was my Wife ... Just kidding. She actually said do you really want to go through all that again?
I don't mind car parts all over the place when you modding but all the blood sweat and tears?
nuff said huh? and no! the Wife's not for sale but the ex didn't sell so she's up for auction - hates Jeeps, likes coffee, do I hear a bid?

On the serious side, I still don't know how much it would take to have me part with June, I guess they'll need to pry it from my cold dead hands.

If you'd come this far down the TJ wormhole what would you have done?

If it is still "fit for purpose" and it still puts a smile on your dial when you drive it, keep it. The money and time you would put into a new one to get it the way you want it, you would ask is it worth it? or would the time and money be better appreciated enjoying what you have or just enjoying life.

Yep, thats just what I intend to do.

It's taken me over fifteen years to get the TJ setup how I want it and I do get a great deal of joy each time I drive her.
The long arms with only a three inch lift and the tera flex rear disks upgrade have vastly improved the handling capabilities, much more than I expected.

If you get it right, it's like Magic! how do you put a price on that if you don't have to...

...and the answer is you don't!

Thanks for the responses
