Default ESP keeps turning on while turning. -lost on solutions

Just a intro to the 2dr Jeep JK.

2" Lovells HD springs
Ironman shocks
Ironman front and rear adjustable panhard rods
285/70/17 Dynapro ATM tyres.

I have paid for alignment, even checked the centering of the front and rear axle and done it according to the write-up on JK forum

http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?3...-End-Alignment

And now that I got a OBDII scanner, it showed no codes or issues.

I've tried to disable the ESP via the wheel dance but has not worked.

So here is what happens:

When I enter a right hand turn and if it is a long one or even driving through the mountains en-route to Forster the ESP always engages and it is dangerous as I'm doing 50-70km when it comes on.

I just don't know what else to do

hmmm. bizarre problem mate. So just to get this straight (pardon the pun): the car drives fine in a straight line, no problem? But only when cornering, the ESP kicks in, i.e. power is cut from the engine and the brakes are applied (left and/or right?) Do the lights flash up on the dash as this happens?

If this is the case, I would suggest your problem is with the "stability control" part of the "ESP program." So the way this system works is to use the vehicle motion sensor, the steering angle sensor and the wheel speed sensors to tell the ESP/ABS module what the vehicle is doing. When it sees a condition like steering one direction and vehicle motion in the other direction, it outputs a corrective action - i.e. applies brakes accordingly and cuts engine output. The controller is programmed with what is logical and what is not logical and what output to make in what non logical situation.

Your car seems to think it is in a non logical situation when cornering. This would suggest there is a problem with either one of the 3 sensor systems, the controller itself or the program. The fact that there is no issue driving in a straight would suggest the wheel sensors are ok. If the problem is new, that would eliminate program. I would think it might be a faulty motion sensor or the steering angle sensor.

Steering wheel "dance" only works on early JK's

As for the ESC a good start is to use a scanner that shows individual wheel speeds, that way you can detect sudden dropouts that then trigger the stability system.

Any reputable Jeep specialist will have one.

How many miles / kM have you got on the JK ?
Reason
Just had to replace Hub bearing after 71,000 miles
Issue was ABS / Esp lights coming on due to worn out hubs
If you've got similar mileage it may be starting to act up ????

Wow thanks for that detailed response.
This has been happening since I put the lift kit on last year.

The esp light flashes when it engages and sounds like the front driverside wheel studders like its ABS. But its only that wheel and only esp light comes on.

Also my cruise control does not work either. Related?

Its an 2007 with 90000km

If you are stationary & turn the wheel to the right, does it come on? Clock spring would likely do it still as well.

Is the wheel centered properly when you are driving in a straight line? What you describe is symptomatic of the steering wheel being offset, so that the car thinks you are sliding when you enter a right turn. It seems to think you should still be going straight, but the g sensors detect the turn, or thinks you should be turning more than you are & the front is sliding.
