I'm sorry this has happened Rustynuts!

If the banner came up, it's because the blocker has not turned off of it has not updated within your browser. Please ensure it is turned off and reopen your browser.

Again sorry for the trouble.

I've disabled the blocker for this site but it is still playing up, I understand running a URL costs money but I use the blockers for disabling inappropriate adds that the kids will see, and this happens a lot, I use them on my PC at school as you never know what freaking add is going to show and its broadcast on a few ft across Smart Board for the kids to see which can cause many funny questions

I encourage everyone to please please be patient while we roll out this whole process.

You should be able to set Ausjeep as an approved website with Adblocker, so you will still block ads on all other websites, but they will appear OK on Ausjeep.

Worrying about what kids could and couldn't see has always been a top priority for me personally on Ausjeep, hense why we do NOT allow people to post porn!!

In saying this, within the Google Adsense preferences, I specifically have ads for inappropriate content blocked from delivery.

Currently we are looking at duplicating the template style for Ausjeep, and looking at how we can modify or add a hack which will allow members who are "bronze, silver or gold" to be allowed to use Adblocker at their discretion after donating.

We need to work out how to automate this, so if you make a donation through the donation button, your profile will automatically change your usergroup and put this into place.

One of the reasons I personally use an ad blocker is because many ad sites have been known to or actively distribute malicious software.

While an ad blocker isn't a 100% effective mechanism it does reduce you risk somewhat.

While I'm in the office or at home I have other mechanisms to help protect my machine, however not everyone is in the same boat.

And before anyone says make sure you have up to date AV this is no longer an effective strategy with the ever evolving mechanisms attackers employ to avoid detection.

Essentially AV is pretty dead technology at protecting you against polymorphic code etc...

While I've disabled my ad blocker for AJOR now I'd personally prefer not to, I'd rather pay $10 than run the risk of viewing ads.

A good example can be found here, HTH.

Pushed "let me in" and my written text was gone. Totally paused my ad blocker and started again. Into my text and BAM again. Got back in and started to write all over again and BAM AGAIN. WTF. And I have just donated.
Now I'm not a tech expert but this new banner is really starting to piss me off.
make sure it is turned off for the web address , refresh the page a few times to make sure , and empty out the browser history . a web page takes a lot of gifs and cookies , and all sorts of things to remember the page lay out .
so next time you revisit it loads a little quicker. so go and make your browser take a big for if you don't any way , it can cause it slow a little (and can cause errors on a page)
nothing worse that a constipated browser LOL
the system cache .
