Well I am a happy man again thanks to the amazing Yeti. This is mainly for future readers.
I ran another test this morning. This time letting my car idle to the hottest temp the coolant can get to (I have a broken thermostat and max is mid 50 degrees celcius). The results showed a MAF reading of 18.4. Which I was stocked about but then I gave it a little Rev and straight away it dropped and hovered around the mid 12's.
After talking to the guru, he mentioned that it seems my EGR is leaking. To test his theory, he told me to start the car remove the pierburg solenoid. With the MAF showing 17.6 at idle, i unplugged the pierburg solenoid which controls the EGR and the actuator on the turbo (I don't know what else), proceeded to give it a Rev and after it climbed, it went straight back to 17.6 at idle. Did it a couple more times to make sure and it was all good..[emoji106] [emoji1]
Whilst I was there I checked to make sure that my turbo actuator was moving freely which it was! There is not a lot of room but if you bend over just enough and shine a torch on it, it's pretty visible.
So by doing all this and a big shout out to Yeti for all his help and KJ75 for his help as well, I have not only confirmed my rockers are ok and that my actuator is good but most of all, it confirmed my suspicion on a leaky EGR. So stoked I ordered the weeks kit to get rid of it all a couple of weeks ago...should be here any day now!!!
