Hey mate, the 97 ZG's dont run an inline fuel filter, only the pressure regulator on top of the fuel tank that is also a filter. The whole fuel pump/ filter group comes out of ontop of the fuel tank. You can access it buy using a long 14mm tube socket and ratchet and undoing a couple of filler tube hoses and the two fuel supply lines and within 15mins its on the ground. I recently purchased one of the $120 fuel pump modules from ebay "with warranty" 10months ago and been great since. Not bad when considering i bought a genuine fuel filter/ regultor 2 years ago for 95$ from jeep.
The kit from ebay has eveything you need and would take you only 2-3 hours top to change out bud.

Yep, times about right. VR/VS pump vis the same & cheap. you'll work it out as soon as you see it.
