Once you have installed the DIY ECU, it will disable your EGR / FCV, which is a good thing.
I started with the free DIY ECU available on lostjeeps, and later asked Yeti to create a custom map to provide a performance increase.
There is a noticable difference between Yeti's performance boost and the free tune.
However if your TC is on it's way out, you may experience some increased shudder with the performance tune (as expected due to increased torque).
I have been running the tune for many month now without any issues.

Thanks KJ, I'll get in contact with Yeti when my MPPS cable arrives. I'm not after big increases in power or torque, I mainly want to get rid of the EGR/FCV. A mild performance increase would be good though.
All going well i'll then put the Weeks kit in.

As I would have to purchase a laptop to do the DIY tune, and due to my being a complete dunce when it comes to computers, I've decided to bide my time until I can afford the GDE tune.
I think I'll put in a blanking plate and remove the butterfly from the FCV as an interim measure.
