Yeah I wanted to this w/end BUT having big probs replacing radiator, then today thought it was done - radiator guy rang & said all fixed - get there & it's boiling over all the time grrr. He says not radiator as new genuine part so must be either head gasket, water pump or thermo. So still waiting 2weeks. Hopefully will know sometime this pm.

All done now, looks like the thermostat went as well, but had the compression test & passed with flying colours. Have done 2 trips over Mt Glorious & gauge didn't move.
Hope getting parts isn't always going to be this difficult/weird (as in getting 3 different rads with the same part number).

I just completed my first off road adventure in my wg 2.7 crd. The vehicle is pretty much stock standard with a new set of off road tyres on the vehicle. I was very impressed off the road in low range how well the car would pull through the mud and go up steep rocky inclines and not have any issues or wheel spin. The track that I was on was the howqua hills track in Victoria. The day was super wet and muddy but the car didn't have any issues. Very happy with how it went.
