Default O-ring seal dimensions fuel pump 94-96

dropped the fuel tank on my spare 96, pulled pump

NO O-ring fitted, just goopy sealant, leaked bad, real safe

needing a replacement, I see on Youtube they are flat profile.

I can measure the OD and ID, but what thickness?

Anyone got a source, correct dimensions, or should I try the Jeep Dealer with Part Num from Manual?

Looks like they are 2-3mm thick?

The fuel pump was said to be knackered, and 12V across Orange and Black wires gives no sound at all.

The pump is as described in the 94-96 Manual, (not the later "in the plastic can assembly"), but includes sender, ad pump is bolt on, cant see them available as an assembly

I will Ebay this item tonight I think, pump looks to be the one

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BOSCH-sui...oAAOSw44BYEI0T

In the meantime, I can ring the bearing suppliers about that seal, if I know the thickness

A, they're not a flat profile.
B. they're around 5-6mm in thickness....

I bought mine from the dealer but that was several years ago...

The pump should be available as pump only and add to the assembly...

thx, I guess that means it was a conventional round-profile O-ring?

it sure looked a flat one in bleepinjeeps youtube, same pump as mine

will phone the dealer with part num 1st, an original part would be best fit

yes, the ebay pump is an "original" Bosch pump & fitting kit, not the whole assembly, which looks pretty skanky, hence my concern.

at least the tank was ok, and not full of the supposed "black scum"

The O-ring appears to be Imperial

thickness 1/4" = 6.3mm (round profile)

OD 3.625" = 92mm

ID 3.125" = 79.4mm

seal tested fuel tight with new pump fitted

will fit tank when I get a chance and hopefully she fires up
