Update:
Radiator from Nepean motor group $1175
Natrad about a third of the price.
I hear the warnings but can't afford the
big $$$ at the moment so will see what
happens with the cheaper option and
install myself, thanks for the input...

No warning here. It was functionally & structurally identical to the OEM. No problems with it, except figuring out that you have to pull everything out from the front to swap them...

Good luck with yours!

Just fitted a Mishimoto HD unit to mine, its a bolt in replacement but the core is about twice as thick as the stock one - i.e. its the full depth of the tanks rather than narrow.

They quote it as having 160% of the cooling capacity of stock and looking at it that seems about right watching the scan gauge.

Wasn't having temperature issues stock, but was looking for an upgrade as planning to do some driving up north and prevention is better than cure.

Its also very bling - fully polished alloy, i gave the exposed bits a bit of black paint as bling ain't my thing but some might like the look.

Pulling the rad on a 3.8 manual is a 10 min job I often pull it after a muddy weekend cos the the hose never gets that last 30% of block fins

My radiator is out of the Grand at the moment (waiting for replacement to come) and the amount of sand, mud and shit that came out of the back of it and the a/c condenser is crazy, I always spend ages blasting the front with the hose and high pressure thingo at the carwash too.
