Or you can do what I did which was stupid but worked out OK.

I wanted 6 stud wheels on my trailer (an ancient home made thing I swapped for some building materials) so I bought 6 stud hubs and bearings from Ebay. Threw them on, and then threw on some 1983 Cherokee wheels. The tyres stuck out from the guards about 3cm, not registerable obviously. All because I didn't think my cunning plan all the way through. I spent the rest of the weekend swearing at it and myself.

So I bought some rubber fender flares from Ebay and screwed those on too. It looks weird and it bounces around quite a bit when it's empty but it passed rego.

Yeah I am thinking that LR. I am most likely gonna order some Trojan Ford rims with 14 positive offset and see if they fit or rub...... Really don't want to spend big bucks on a new axel if I can keep mine. Mainly because I have a registered GVM of 1300kg. If I get a new axle I go back down to a 1000kg, unless I get another solid axel like the one I have, just longer. I might be fine. I tried Google again and found a table but I could not make any sense of it. Wish I kept the old Valiant rims as they sat just fine and I could have had the stud holes drilled bigger to suit Ford. If I hadn't cut my finger off on the circular saw the other day along with major lacerations to one other I would be pulling the wheels and measuring the axle length and comparing it to the ones they make at the trailer shops.

Regards Anthony
