Default Regearing with quadradrive

I'm getting a bit of diff whine, so figure that if I'm going to have work done on the diffs, I might as well regear.

Can someone tell me if I need parts specific to the wj quadradrive or can I just get gears to suit any Dana 30/44?

Hammertone- to the best of my knowledge the pinion and ring gear are common to all of the relative models, so all Dana 44's use the same parts until you started to change the cage out as that is the part holding the Quadradrive components.

Definitely be aware that our (WJ/WG) Dana 30 is a low pinion, an XJ has a high pinion and the ring and pinion are different.
As far as the ring and pinion in our Dana 44A is concerned, I'm personally not sure if they're interchangeable with other Dana 44 variants.

I'm pretty sure d44a is different from regular 44

I'm assuming you have the V8 engine as most CRD's didn't come with QD as standard. If you do happen to have the CRD, I've beer told they don't like the gears being changed.

Yeah its the v8 I'm driving. Thanks for the input all. From your leads ive been able to work out that I need gears for the Dana 30 LP (low pinion) or non-reverse cut. The xjs have the high pinion and some tjs as well.

The rear needs gears for a Dana 44a (or HD) which shares very few parts with the steel 44.

I was hoping that if the parts were shared by maybe the xj or tj they'd be more readily available, but it looks like ill have to make a special order for wj gear from the states, especially for the rear
