Default interior lights

The interior lights go on when the doors open, but when they go off after the time delay and you use the light stalk to turn them back on again it does not work.
The dash lights you cant adjust the brightness or dim them as well.

Any suggestions.

That's been annoying me for years when I needed light in the boot, and I couldn't find a stock solution. Sometimes when I messed with the switch a few times they'd stay on and never turn off even with all the doors closed and stalk switch off. Only starting the engine seemed to 'reset' it, pretty annoying when camping.

If you mainly need the boot light as well, I just installed (literally just finished.) some bright flood lights in the boot door which are turned on/off manually from a switch hidden inside the grab handle, so it can't get knocked when the boot is closed.
Then I put some LED 'ribbon' inside the plastic trim at the top of the boot opening, wired in-place of the stock boot door light so it turns on and fades off automatically with all the other lights.

Tapping 12V or ground directly into the interior lights via a switch (to force them all on manually.) is risky, as they have a constant +12V and 'switched' by a floating ground.

My guess is the indicator switch itself, contacts probably worn out.

Yer I thought of the faulty stalk as well.
I will be putting in some extra lights with a manual switch so when camping I can see what I am doing.

You can source constant 12 volts from the accessory socket in the rear (always on).
