Default Fuel leak from top rear of engine

Hi

My 2003 CRD have developed a fuel leak towards the bulkhead, It seems to be coming somewhere above the starter motor.

I have checked the fuel lines going to the pumps and these all seem fine.

None of the injectors seem to be leaking and I'm guessing the leak is possibly coming from the braided pipe the connects all the injector together as there is no trace of any fuel on the top of the engine (is this an overflow pipe?)

I have yet to trace the end point of this pipe have to see; but should it be connected to anything?

Any help greatly appreciated

thanks

I had the same problem, with mine it was the fuel return rail, that the one that comes from the top of the injectors, the return rail unions to the injector were leaking and a union from the fuel supply rail to the injector was leaking too.
I fitted a new fuel return rail including all the unions and a new union on the injector and all was good. It may be the rear injector leaking so you can't see any fuel on top of the engine? Did you squeeze your hand in between the bulk head and the engine to feel if there was any fuel at the rearmost of the engine?

thanks for the advice

it turns out it was one of the supply unions to the injector was quite hard to find.

Have to drive a bit to make 100% sure it was only leaking from there.
