If the system is anything like the KJ CRD, get the matched set, ignition lock, key, reader, and ECU. Up and away, no programming needed. Have not tried just changing the ECU only, but I feel there is a possibility that may work on its own, since it would be a fairly sophisticated system to send a unique code from the reader to ECU for every vehicle, but may be the case. May try it some day when I have nothing better to do. Obviously need your original key for door locks. Another successful combination is key reader, key, ECU, and an unprogrammed key to suit your ignition lock. Just position the matching key near the reader while cranking to activate ECU, or alternatively tape it to the reader. I used the unprogrammed key so as to avoid the possibility of sending two signals to the reader if that is possible.
