Did you end up fixing your 2.7 CRD?
I've just purchased an 03 Limited with the exact same issue.
The only thing working on the dash is the tachometer when I start the car.
When I press the accelerator pedal absolutely nothing happens.
I can engage gears with the gear stick but the idle speed of the engine is the only thing that moves the car as the accelerator pedal does nothing.

Did I check for codes.... After I posted my question for some silly reason.
I downloaded the software from JeepsWJ.com and retrieved more codes than you can poke a stick at.
From the ECU
P0100 Mass Air Flow Circuit voltage
P0190 Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit voltage
P2120 Accelerator pedal signal circuit voltage 1
P0520 Engine oil pressure sensor circuit voltage
P2125 Accelerator pedal signal voltage 2 or brake switch
P0235 Turbo boost sensor A circuit voltage
P1608 A/D converter error app sensor ground failure or internal failure or voltage failure
P0702 Transmission control electrical

From the TCM
P2602 Weak battery or gearbox plug
P240d Engine T-case switch message
P240d Engine temp message
P200a Internal controller
P2311 CAN communication with ECU not plausible
P2312 CAN signal for ECU faulty
P2315 Can signal for ECU faulty

I then cleared both the ECU and TCM. All the TCM codes cleared. The only ECU code to clear was the famous P0702. I'm guessing half the codes cleared because the car now has a new battery in it.

I'd say you have an electrical problem. Make sure the battery voltage is good and the alternator is delivering the correct output voltage and current.

Also make sure all of your terminals on the batter are good and clean and tight, also check your earths well too.i

I've had a couple of weird faults where electrical connectors were a little dirty, some or all of the harness connectors on the engine may need to be checked.

I finally have my 03 CRD back together after some major work but unfortunately it still will only idle and nothing else. At least no more black death and hard starting although I will have to get my new injectors coded.
So far I have installed 5 rebuilt injectors with new washers and hold down bolts, etc. 5 new glow plugs. A massive new battery. A new JeepsWJ.com transmission circuit board. New Mann fuel filter.

The JeepsWJ.com software has cleared all the old codes but the only codes remaining are for the engine and they are:
P0100 Mass Air Flow sensor
P0190 Fuel pressure sensor
P0235 Boost pressure sensor
P0520 Oil pressure sensor
P1608 A/D converter error
P2120 Accelerator pedal position sensor 1
P2125 Accelerator pedal position sensor 2

I've cleaned as many electrical connectors as I could and degreased so much of the engine bay, I even cleaned the maf sensor with proper cleaner.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm driving down to Brisbane tomorrow in another car and I'm tempted to take my ECU down with me to see if someone could have a look at it?

Sounds like you've got a hell of an electrical problem to chase. I don't envy you

I'd only suggest checking your earths. Measure the voltage between the heads/block and the neg terminal. It sounds like you've done everything else common.
