Unhappy 2009 Grand Cherokee Diesel is Driving me nuts

Hello Guys, this is my first post in this forum. I am really desperate with my Grand Cherokee Diesel 2009.

Initially I was having a leak from the turbo. When we first checked the engine to see if the leak was from the engine itself (he took down from when the engine is attached with the gearbox), the mechanic noticed it wasn't from there but from the turbo oil cooler itself, when he took it down to fix it, he put some silicone on it and from there on it has been a nightmare.

When we first came out to test it, as soon as the turbo kicks in, the gearbox gets in a limp mode, lubrication light turns on and the engine pistons get stuck! at that time i also changed the engine oil for a better one to check if it was a bad oil.

After rebuilding the engine, go out again, turbo kicks in, same problem, lubrication light on and engine turns off, this time the damage was not as severe as the first time, but still had to take the engine down again and basically rebuild it again. At this time i took the turbo to a turbo specialized store to check if there is anything wrong with it and the oil cooler, they check them and tell me everything is working fine, they only found some minusculus silicone particles inside of it and we thought maybe that was the cause for the engine to get stucked.

We clean everything, take out all the silicone and car gets on, is working ok, but again turbo kicks in, and SAME PROBLEM!

I am really desperate, I have been looking on internet and havent found a similar problem, I think this is not related with the swirl problem, is something with the lubrication as i assume the engine at some point when the turbo kicks in stops getting oil. We check the oil pump and is working fine...

This has all happened in Colombia. There are only 3 trucks like this here, the other ones are the petrol ones...so there is not much info about that car.

What do you guys think may be happening?

I appreciate any answer or any ideas!!

Thanks!!

did you do a scan for codes that could tell exactly what your problem is.

Have you changed the oil pump and pickup. It won't take long to seize an engine if there is no oil pressure.

I suggest searching Mercedes forums using "OM642" that's the engine code and "low oil pressure"

To be honest I think the turbo is the least of your problems.

Do you have a service manual or parts manual? I can post a link if you don't.

What turbo oil cooler? No such thing

Turbo & Transmission are two completely separate systems.
Mechanically & electrically.
Engine Lubrication issue more likely due to engine rpm than turbo
Turbo does not require more oil when it spools up

Turbo oil feed is constant full flow
If anything I'd reckon it's your oil cooler
It's in the valley under the inlet manifold in front of the turbo

If anyone has an oil gallery schematic that'd be handy
