Hi Max
Hopefully this is moving forward for you.
I dug around in my old service invoices for the details on the work that was done on our 2012 CRD.
It was under warranty and this may have made a difference in the way it was described and the amount of parts used.
The work was described as "check intermittent no start - vehicle will fire up and stall"
Diagnosis was "connected to witech found codes for win module, internal fault."
work done was "replaced win module and elv, programmed 2 new fobs, tested OK".
parts listed were
CH05026647AM RECEIVER WIRELESS IGNITION - x1
CH56046737AE KEYFOB INTEGRATED K - x2
CH05026788AD MODULE STEERING COLUMN - x1

Hope this doesn't add to the confusion. You will recall in an earlier post I mentioned the dealer staff could not find a fault over many months and told me it never showed a code. Perhaps the new service manager knew where to look.
I was told at the time the electric steering column lock was a part of the key system.
All the best
john

I just had exactly those items replaced (only one fob) at my expense on a 2010 total was $2930.

Hi Max,
Not sure of your location but a competent Auto Locksmith would have the abilty to "Virginise" your existing FOBIK's so they could be re used, you still will need a WIM & steering module then have them linked to PCM.
