Default 2012 JC Laredo 3.6l petrol Cranks over but won’t start!!! Help

Hi brains trust,

I got up this morning to go to work and the JC wouldn’t start. It cranks and cranks but doesn’t start up.

It’s recently had a new alternator and new battery under warranty. I have extended warranty. Later I realised they recalled the alternator anyway.

I’ve cleaned the air filter, checked the main two fuses being M27 ignition switch and CB1 ignition off, looked for stray or cut wires visually. I keep my bonnet v clean.

Can anyone help? Is there any point calling RAC/NRMA or somehow try get it to a dealership (v narrow driveway be hard to tow).

I’m in West Ryde, Sydney.

TIA

Are you getting any fuel in? Check the relay for the fuel pump or tap it. If you dont have a spare, jump the terminal. That is if you DONT hear the fuel pump priming.

Is it out of fuel or low on fuel? If driveway is not level fuel pickup may not be picking up fuel?

I’m leaning to a fuel issue too.
We put some “start ya bastard” down the intake and it started but then died instantly. It’s like it’s not getting fuel.

I’m not sure where the fuel pump relay is? Any chance you could post a pic while I google the location pls?

I tapped the fuel tank under the right hand side of car with a mallet but nothing still.

It’s got almost a full tank, probably 85 l of fuel in it. So that’s not it. Thanks though.

I keep a few spares in the glove box for this reason
Jeep service near me dont stock them so I ordered them from US.

Temporarily you can get a 30/40amp relay from from jaycar to do the job, wrap it with some electrical tape as the omrons have a special retainer to keep it in place.
