Default Oil from the intercooler hose from turbo to intercooler?

Hey guys
I have a turbo question regarding what causes the oil in an intercooler hose from turbo to intercooler? I'm pretty sure it's from the oil separator connected to the air intake (as per 2nd pic) however I don't know what to do to stop this? Is it a vacuum issue or unbalance due to blocking the egr valve? Can anything be done to stop the oil entering the intake and intercooler? Do I need to clean out the oil separator catch can and is this a regular duty? I would've thought it drained back into the sump via the hose from the bottom of the catch can? .. sorry if these are silly questions just trying to get my head around it.

There is always a little oil that gets from the oil separator to the inlet. Unless you are seeing oil smoke its not a worry. Probably doesnt hurt to clean out the separator/catch can. If you see lots of smoke out the back when you put your foot down, its probably the oil seal on the turbo.

Just as Layback said . There is quite a bit of air pressure in that intercooler hose and oil vapor builds up inside it and escapes usually at the hose ends .
Judging by your pictures the amount of oil buildup is nothing to worry about .
Oily surface is more pronounced at the bottom end of hose in most cases .

Oil is fine.
But that leaking oil is a boost leak.
Interested in some alloy intercooler pipes?
I have set for sale
Pm me if you are interested.

Also i can see you have a gap between the cooler and your shroud i would try and fill that to make the cooler more efficient
