Default Wg 2.7crd muffler removal?

Just wondering if anyone has straight piped their wg crd? If so, does it drone on the highway? Any pros or cons? My muffler is shot so was considering just straight piping it.

I removed the original flex tube and put a much smaller turbo muffler on mine a few years back and it was a bit rowdy particularly at highway speeds. A resonator up the back was quickly installed and this solved the problem.

I doubt it hit power much if at all.

Well This is the section i am talking about at the rear. I assume it is just a muffler? It is a good 2ft long lol. I will eventually get a whole new dump made up with a highflow cat, this is just a repair for now, I just don't want to be sitting at 100km/h and get a headache if i replace it with straight pipe.

This is the one I'm talking about too.

Personally I'd put a muffler in, even with the existing cat, it will be noisey without it in my experience.

I'm going to cut the muffler out and see how loud it is, if it is obnoxious, il chuck a resonator in. It won't cost me anything to chop it out and straight pipe, and il only need to buy a resonator if it is a but too loud so why not. Il report my findings when i am done lol

I got distracted lol.
It is now straight pipe, it is a bit louder under acceleration and at idle but nothing crazy. There is no drone on the highway at any speed. At 60 there is a tiny bit of drone but absolutely nothing to worry about. I was also towing a 2ton trailer and was no drone. Will make a video today or tomorrow.
