Default Mud Flaps 0n G/C from 2011 the-2018

Can someone please tell me if the front and back guards have changed in the WK2 years models above? I want to fit mud flaps from fleabay instead of paying an exorbitant price for genuine ones, I'm not a cheap skate, thanks.

They look the same to me. I just bought a set from the dealer and yes they were expensive, but I wanted them to fit properly. However I am perplexed by the complicated instructions for fitting which includes a plastic rivet that is not really necessary to use as far as I can work out, I think maybe it's just for security.
How many screws does it really take to hold on the rear flap?
The even come with a spacer attached by a piece of plastic which you cut off, but I saw a car with this still attached! They hadn't used all the screws either.
