Default AEV 3.5 sc lift

Hi all,

I've been tossing up the AEV 3.5 kit or a tera s/t3 or ct3 kit.

The AEV has the advantage that its a readily engineerable lift here in melbourne. And I must admit I am leaning toward it for that reason. However, it does seem less complete than the new Tera kits (speed bump, control arms etc). And the correction brackets lower your clearance, which kinda sucks (however, its their DD power)

So my question is those who've run them, on and off road and for a decent period of time. Whats your view?

I've researched the hell out of them. Howver, i'd love some Aussie conditions opinions and some recent ones at that!

Cheers
Jason

Unless you are bouldering, the clearance change from the brackets shouldn't be an issue. I have scrapes & dents on all the bash plates, but the brackets are fine.

They do a great job & make it much nicer on road than the adjustable arms did, and I only have a 2" lift. They also completely got rid of the shimmy I was getting from bumps due to the change in caster angle from the lift the PO had installed.

I have the 3.5RS kit, also engineered though JK, amazing both on and off road. I've recently also upgraded to the Currie Antirock and the lift kit still handles beautifully on road.

Hey dimo, how would you say the AEV kit rides in terms of firm to soft?

I have the 3.5in in my JKUR, engineered in vic too. At first I wanted to go away from the drop bracket kit and other items. But out of the 3 JK's Ive had this is by FAR the best kit i've ran. It handles beach, off road at full flex and handles fantastic onroad even at high speeds which surprised me alot.

All I have changed is the front track bar mount as I changed diff hats from factory.
I wouldn't rate it soft or hard, its just right and if its too firm I just adjust my air pressure to suit and im good.

I will be upgrading to longer sway bar links because I have a rubicon it does limit the front flex at extreme flex.
I will be replacing the shocks with Falcon 3.3s when they die.
If you are local in Melb S.E im happy to take you for a drive

What track bar mount did you go to? I’m going to switch hats as well.
