Default O2 Sensor part numbers

Good evening all,

A while back I tried to help a couple out in a bit of strife with their car problems. Their apparently 2001 WJ was running an error code for an O2 sensor. I then bought them a complete set of 4 from Rockauto to rectify said problem.

When he removed one of the old sensors it was obvious that I had ordered the incorrect part numbers.

From looking at the Rockauto website, I think I might need to order for a 2000 year model.

Is there anybody that can confirm what part numbers I need please?(Pics should be attached) Hoping not to waste more money.

Check out my Ride(s)

Bosch has some listed here:
https://www.boschautoparts.com/en/auto

NGK parts checker is here:
https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=19180

Looks like they suit a 2001 (from a certain build date) -would need to check the number of wires & colors to see if anything other than the plug shape changed

Last one I changed on my 2015 WK2 diesel had the bosch part number on the sensor body - gave Bursons the part number & they were able to get one in the next day.

Cheers

The old connector you show is the same as the 2000 WJ sensors. This happens many times as vehicles update and old parts get used up. My 97 TJ has several engine sensors that are a throwback to the 95 YJ.

I'm sure that if you order the parts for a 2000 WJ from rockauto that they will fit. I think the sensors you have might even be OK to use if the connectors were cut and spliced.

With Rock Auto you should be entering your year of build and then the part # should be different

There is different sensors for different markets depending on the local emission laws. As far as I have established local wg’s use the euro emissions spec sensors not the calif or federal spec.
I actually used the numbers on my sensors to be certain the ones I was ordering were correct.

Thanks for your replies guys.
I think I've ordered the correct parts. I went with Denso ones, not sure if they're any good, but hopefully get him going again. Spent over $400 on the last ones that were incorrect, so didn't want to fork out too much more for a car that isn't mine.

Part numbers were 2344634 before cat and 2344602 after, if anybody is interested.

Cheers Joe
