At the risk of straying off topic, the intermittently unfolding mirrors have always baffled me. I wonder if the sensor that controls the auto unfolding feature once you exceed 16kph might be wonky...be interested to know if anyone in here can suggest a plausible cause.

I have a feeling that I worked out a few years back that they would unfold on startup if they were folded when the engine was off, and stay folded if folded when the engine was running. I haven't taken much notice of them recently though, so I could be wrong

My old 2012 wk did the unfolding mirror thing, it was always both mirrors. I took it back to the dealer multiple times while it was under warranty and they tried to tell me it was normal. I then found a TSB for the same issue and the fix was a reflash but it was for Japanese delivered WK's only, I kept hassling the dealer and they eventually did reflash it which fixed the issue.
