I use Liqui-Moly Special Tec 5w-30

Not issues at all and runs smooth az on my 2015 petrolV6

Well, I suppose it is good to be fussy....if you can afford to be .

I have the 3.8 engine in the JKU Rubi which has now done 230000 km mostly off road, in the deserts and pulling a van or trailer. It is almost always close to or over maximum weight when I consider the gear I carry (water; fuel tyres tools, food etc). It has often been driven for anything like 8-12 hours per day to get to where I want 2B and often in temps 30-42C.

I use 10W40 oil ... whatever brand is on special. I prefer a semisynthetic or synthetic version. Change oil and filter myself every 10000km ...still going strong!!

I can't imagine a 3.6 would be much different.
