Default FB Jeep Groups

Gday Jeepers,

Just wondering if anyone else is tired of the bashing that people seem to get from the current bullies in the FB Jeep groups.

They jump on anyone that says anything they don't like or agree with.

These people think that they are jeepers, well they might own one and modify it, drive it but the community of the true Jeepers iv met here in Aus, in the states when I lived there and in Canada when I was there is totally different.

Im sure i'm not the only one that is tired of seeing this.

I did say something about it but was harassed, I replied like a click bait idiot and got told by some 20 year old to harden up. I just don't post anymore.

The community within the Jeeps is one of the selling points of owning one. Not the only point, but it is a big one.

I will leave it there. Post up your experiences if you have any, without fear of being belittled, put down and bullied!!!

I belong to PJC.. Perth Jeep Community, and a couple of XJ pages. They all seem OK. I never talk politics or bag out anyone. I guess some groups can be a bit clicky.. but its easy.. you just delete them.
PJC seems to organize a few meets, but i haven't been on one.

Cheers,

An example of real life instead of internet:

I was pumping petrol and another Jeep arrived. The other driver got out and we started talking about or Jeeps! Wonderful!

I get it, stick and stones. Our community never used to be this way.

People where just reasonable to each other. I am not losing any sleep,
it was more to see if this was wide spread or not i guess.

Id love to get out more in the jeep, but im waiting on some engineering.
Fines tend to hurt my feelings hahaha

FB groups has killed Ausjeep, but in saying that we are still barely ticking along. I have really noticed a different culture like you say between forum members and FB group members. I don't know if its definately the age thing, but cannot put my finger on it.

What is more amazing though, is that they act this way in a FB group, where its so public and a simple click on their profile and you know a bunch about them, whereas a forum there is simply not that info available, so you would think it would almost be the other way around.

Yeah it's interesting.

I was thinking the other day how the internet "forums" in general seem to be slowly quietening down, and seemingly taken over by FB groups. Maybe it's something to do with having a single access point for all forum interaction, and the way FB seems to be integrating into so much of our lives (with smartphones that we all take with us everywhere, all the time).

To be honest I'm not a big fan of the way the world is moving - in terms of social interaction etc. It's definitely getting a lot more rude and brutal out there.
