Reviving this thread as the issue still haunts my KK. See below link to YouTube video...
This a 3.7L driving in 1st gear low range down a very modest descent. Zero throttle input from the driver. From somewhere around 1300rpm the car accelerates away beyond 5000rpm and doesn't settle back to idle until travelling up the next hill.
Can someone with a 3.7L please confirm if this is normal or not?
Adding to my expectation I have some sort of gremlin, on a previous trip I had the ARB air compressor fouling on my cylinder 6 bank resulting in injection/spark issues (I can't remember which) and during that trip the car would hold RPM down hills, rarely passing 2000rpm even on steep descents. Since fixed that issue.
New throttle body fitted prior to this trip and system software updated to latest by Poly4x4.
Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
