Default Auto lockers?

Was just wondering if you can put these in the WJ Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 open diff set up?

Doesn't really answer my question, only thinking of rear and on pretty standard tyres, 245/75/16's with 40mm lift.
Tis but a thought at the moment as am thinking things through on where to go with making it more capable.

In nsw they are illegal.
But they are great in the rear as far as I'm concerned.
Use heavy 140W.
Bit clicky in town on full lock in car parks etc.
Far better I believe than LSD when really needed.
No way I would fit them up front unless I had hub locks.
But would if I had such.
But the "Spartan" brand will only fit in the open diff centres for the XJ'S 8.25 centre. Not the LSD Centre.
So that part was an in import from US.
100% lock up in a straight line basically.
And true correct straight even load gears etc, not bias to one side wear.

Try and locate a varilok rear axle from a wrecked overland they operate from full open to completely locked depending on the wheel slip.

Dont know what they are like in a WJ , I had them front and rear in a 60 series and they were fantastic on gravel roads and steep broken tracks. They are they only lockers that work great on the front because they will unlock automatically for steering(in the steep stuff). Having said how great they are in the bush they are just a pain in the arse on sealed roads especially around town and double that if you tow anything and triple that if the missus drives it.

you can run the auto lockers on the V8 with open diff, but not the vari lock diffs, only the diesel has issues with them because of the transmission setup, will throw an error code.

If you plan to run anything under a 33" tire i would recommend looking at the factory vari lock first, they can be modded to lock up faster and can be run front and rear without impacting steering.
