Awesome, Thanks.

I was originally going fit a pump in the JK if I'd bought it but now I'll probably just have my camp hot water system's pump suck straight out of it.

Thanks for the concern.

I have been working in the background on this build for some time and the actual weight increase over standard is very limited as I take weight out (where possible) before putting it back in.

For instance the rear water tank setup
The poly tank with pump, hoses and even switch and merit plug weighs in at 7.6kgs dry
I have removed the standard rubber that sits under the spare which weighs 5.9kgs, Also removed the sound deadening around the plastic tub insert and side panels below the floor line this saved an additional 4.9kgs. The rear false floor has also been removed which weighs 12.3kgs

Same with the front Uneek hidden winch mount and pre runner. Between the factory crash tube, support panels, brackets and bolts not used the total weight removed adds up to just under 8kgs. while the prerunner, winch mount and bash plate add up to 26.5 kgs. Adding the winch adds 31kgs too which can't be helped there is barely any metal in the front of these cars to begin with.

So while the weight saving on the front is not as fruitful as the rear the net affect is I have added a mere 49.5kgs for the protection and self recovery convenience. If I remove the lower fascia while off roading (planned) I will save an additional 9.3kgs

As for the spare I have been developing and testing a hitch mount rear wheel carrier that is lightweight less than 11kgs that does not limit the rear departure angle and can be used as a recovery point. I am having another prototype built now which is going to be powered tilt rather than strut assisted.

In summary I agree adding copious amounts of weight to 4wd vehicles is a huge problem and I see it all the time, this build is a little different, yes I am adding weight as I cannot remove enough to offset what is going in, is it a crazy amount no, fully loaded weight will be up there with full tanks etc but it cannot be helped and you only have a full tank of fuel for a short period of time.
