Default 2014 - 2015 WK Crankshaft Sensor Recall

Hi Guys,

Has anyone received their recall letter from FCA regarding this recall? Ours is on the list. Only came out on 20th June, so I guess not.

Listed in Australian Product Recalls 20 June. You can check your VIN on there

Hopefully none of us have problems before the Jeep dealer does the fix!

Cheers,
Sally

Weve been yacking about it here; http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...=1#post1673696

I just rang a dealer and mines booked in for next week, I wasn't waiting for the letters or emails as then every man as his dog would be lined up at a dealers.... AJOR has its benefits, getting the news early.

Thanks heaps guys.

Looked through but didn't find the thread, but thought you would be all over it!

Will also give the dealer a ring to book.

Cheers,
Sally

Thats what I thought, told about 3 hrs then they said if I drop it off at 0900 should be good to pick up at 1400, like I've nothing better to do than wander around town for half a day............... planning like a Govt Dept.... Heck my truck would get updated while I went to smoko for a coffee, plug in laptop, whiz bang all done before I had finished my coffee, it didn't sit around the yard for hours............Thankfully an old work mate is getting his done and since we haven't seen each other in yonks as we are hundreds of kms apart we will make the most of it, sadly in the old days we would have ajourned to the pub for a countery...

Hi,

Booked in. Earliest I could get was 15th July, but we don't use the car much, so all good.

No letter yet, but he was happy to book it in.

Thanks again,
Sally

I looked on the Gov. recall site to check for my 2014. It wasn't there and there are big gaps in the vin no. sequences.
Does that mean different suppliers provided the part and therefore only some are faulty or what??
Hopefully it does, but I would like to know the reason for the missing vins.
