Default WH Transfer Case Fluid

Hi all,

What is the go to for this fluid for the QDII transfer case? I have been advised it's a specific fluid and unfortunately dealers have no stock.

Is anyone able to point me toward a suitable equivalent?

Thanks,

Robert

Thanks mate. I also came up with that, and the Amsoil equivalent.

hi
Ford power steering fluid, penrite now make a full syn. ford at one stage early in the peice used the mobil spec as alternative.
I bought tractor gear oil to fit the mobil spec but full syn whilst mobil is not syn.
The penrite tech department a number of years ago told me Pro gear 70 -75 only, it is full syn. and is thin enough. I use it also and the rep. on the phone at the tech department told me he uses it in his hemi jeep.
Like the power steering fluid in the WJ and wh is different but the rack is the only difference as the fan is the same. WJ pas is specced its ok but latter the new penrite power steering for ford should be better. But the mobil can be used also. It is the full syn that causes trouble. I will use all my extra pas in my jag.

But like always monitor and try your luck.
it is the engine oil that is now becoming a confusing problem , and with the new industry spec, due soon plenty of oils being dumped out cheap.
Cheers
