Default Immo Defeat Box?

Hi,

Anyone know if there is an immo defeat / bypass box available for the WJ?

I have an old VW Golf MK3 and had intermittent problems with the engine cutting out while driving - a common fault - so bought a $20 tiny circuit board which wires in place of the immo box. Just 3 wires.

Just wondered if such a thing existing for the WJ. Saves a fortune on chipped keys...

Most people who wish to defeat the SKIM by having it turned off by EPROM reprogramming of the ECU which is done typically by personal or businesses with specialized equipment and skills.

For the 2.7 I'm afraid it's been tried by reprogramming the ECU without much luck

The Diag Pro app handles programming the keys. I have successfully ordered a key and programmed it myself.

EDIT:
I should add that I gave that particular seller my key number and it arrived pre-cut. All I had to do was program it to the SKIM. Doing that involved getting the SKIM PIN from the local dealer.

some better Alarm systems do provide an Skim override for remote start. I do have two of those boxes lying around somewhere.
