Just found these guys in Cockburn Central. Not really close to me nor do I know if they are any good but maybe an option to try?

I have used 4 Wheel Drive USA in Bayswater before and had no issues they seem to be experienced with Jeeps and helpful

Probably a bit far for you but, There is a guy in Bunbury, he used to be a mechanic for Jeep when they had the dealership here, when they left he went out on his own.
I can't vouch for him as i have never used him, I only found out about him recently.
But was thinking about giving him a shot for my servicing, once it dosn't effect my warranty(need to do some research on this).

Pretty sure his name is Matt Hall and is located behind bunnings, anyone on here used him before.

I wouldn't trust a Dealer with any serious engine work at all...they are ok for basic stuff but for anything else they generally have no idea.

Years ago with my WJ I had some fueling dramas, and took it to a Dealer thinking they would have mechanics there that had been around for years and would know what to look for. WRONG! They didn't have a clue and messed around for ages pulling this and pulling that and just doing the "replace" everything until something works routine.

If I had serious issues I'd be going to a Diesel specialist first...and one that will work on Jeeps. I had approached one or two here in Qld in the past and some will only work on Jap stuff...serious engines like the VM they are scared of...

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Been away for a bit but I ended up going to SHM in Cockburn, they seemed pretty knowledgeable and keen to help me out. They had alot of GCs there.

Anyway pretty much got the same answer I got from the dealer "it's not throwing any error codes and they can't see anything wrong".

The big suggestion is to stop filling up at discount fuel outlets like Costco and use BP Ultimate diesel. So I'm doing that and adding a fuel conditioner each time I fill up at a rate of 1ml per L. I'm on my second tank, I didn't notice any improvement on my first tank. I'll check back in after the next tank.

SHM were sayng that they've had a number of issues with other diesel jeeps that got fuel at Costco and a fresh tank of BP, Ampol or Shell sorted them out.

We'll see.

I went back to the beginning, strange readings in dash and poor fuel economy, no codes............. So strange readings points to dirty sensors to me which could also explain the lack of power though that could be because the dodgy readings you see cause you to feel it..................
In my books I would be doing a fuel filter change along with air filter and giving the usual sensors a flush, MAP and MAF and checking hose clamps as I go, make sure all plugs are firmly located also.......... It may be just a simple dirty connection or one not fully home...... A cleaner put down the throat may have dislodged something which just slightly blocks a sensor but nothing long enough or bad enough to throw a code...

If you had a dicky injector you would know about it and your sump would fill up.... Had a 3 cylinder diesel turn into a 4 once, god what a mess. Smoke , oil everywhere............
