Went and saw a mechanic mate who is good diesel mechanic ive used over the years on occasions.
He has a guy who he uses who specialises in broken glow plug removal.
My mate has worked on a few of these engines and reckons that everyone he has done with glow plugs usually snaps at least one plug.
Got the car booked in a couple of weeks so ive filled all the remaining glow plug recesses with wd40 etc so it gives it a couple of weeks to soak, hot / cold etc.
On another note, had a look at a 2015 overland diesel with low km.(70,000)
Half interested but has no bull bar or tow bar, Redarc etc.
Mines done 160k but ive done just about everything to it so not sure if its worth
it. !!

The bonus of having no goodies on it is it's less likely to have been used as a tow rig or spent much time off-road. Can always take as much as you can off of yours and swap it over. Always a risk you take not necessarily knowing the vehicle's history though. If you're making the upgrade from MY14, I'd try stretch to a MY17 onwards for the updated infotainment, shifter, etc.

Depends on how you look at it. I specifically looked for a car that had no towbar etc. with evidence none had ever been fitted. I considered it a bonus knowing it hadn't towed, I then had a bar and Redarc fitted. Also didn't want a bullbar, soaks up too much of the already meagre payload on the GC.

Yep my criteria was 2 yrs old, 40K kms, bull bar, Laredo wanted proper suspension and no towing, a 2015 3 years old and 40K, with bull bar and tow bar but no brake set up and it was the managers show pony, bling included rack, steps and all the mats and a tow hitch still covered in paint, bingo its mine........... agree about the bull bar sucking the load, mines only 35kgs and the front is heavy hate to think what the steel ones would do, too many skippy's around my place not to have one though.
