Default Possible Battery Issue

We have been away for 3 weeks interstate without the Jeep. Upon returning home the car will not start. It does turn over but will not fire up. Before l call RACV does it sound like only a battery not fully charged. Thank you

Possibly battery. When you say it turns over, is it like a normal crank or sluggish? Try a jump start or charging the battery and if that doesn’t work then possible an air leak in your fuel system and it needs priming again.

Do you have power to anything...like lights, radio, dash etc.... if nothing probably battery is completely flat or had the dick.

I have had cars stand for 6weeks without starting up and turn first go when I get home from a trip... so maybe battery is not only flat but needs to be changed over to a new one.

All sorted. Thank you for the replies.
My battery is supposedly on its way out - although less than 2 years old.

Also - as we were not going to be home for over 3 weeks - l didn't refuel after our 10,000km trip to Cooktown. Appears the fuel pump possibly was struggling to pump the necessary fuel. When l was trying to start - l kept my foot on the brake pedal [thought l had to] but the RACV guy also pumped the accelerator as well as having the jumper attached. It did splutter but started.

Have since filled up and done a 40 min drive. All seems fine although l intend to have the battery condition checked by our local battery specialist.

Unlikely that a battery would give up so soon after rolling off the dealership. These things last for a few years.

Maybe in the 3 weeks something was draining the battery. It could be something as small as a glove box lamp that may have been left on by some object obstructing the lamp switch. It has happened to me.
