From what I saw on another thread you posted on, you say yours is a 2014 model....Im going with it being coolant from a failed valley hose which has leaked down the rear of engine...it will be blended with oil....have you checked your coolant level ???

Will check coolant level again in morning, but seemed ok after i saw this puddle on Wednesday. Had a quick look this afternoon under car after a 400km trip to lakes entrance, temp gauge was good as I was checking frequently, but did see some drips sitting on cross member under front of motor and I am thinking water pump. The colour is what has me confused.

Could be coolant mixed with AC drain which could give a yellow have a look at your powers steering fluid level.....

I would check the coolant type though if yours is a WK2 diesel of 2014 vintage the coolant should be an OAT coolant which is usually red... green is usually a HOAT ............ wont kill the engine though...

Certainly sounds like you're running HOAT coolant, even though it should be OAT for your model as Drover says. IF you decide to address that, be very careful not to mix them or you'll have real problems as they will likely form a gel. Would be interesting to know how HOAT got in there, i.e. did you buy the car with green coolant in it? If you want to change to OAT, an extremely thorough system flush would be required to get rid of all traces of HOAT. Leaks from these water pumps are pretty common.
