The newer facelift trim is alot better quality wise.
But when you close the 2012 doors you notice they feel very solid when you close them as opposed to the 2014 up which feel lighter ??
I also like the rear back window on the tail gate being able to be opened on the 2012, very handy.
The newer 8 speed transmission is alot better than the older 5 speed driving wise.
I do actually vaguely recall noting the different door feel when we moved from a 2011 to a 2015. As far as I'm aware, they're the exact same door shell - maybe the seals are different, or the earlier models had more sound deadening inside?

Love my old bus....still has 'issues' but it hasnt shyte itself..only thing I've seen that took my notice was 2018 Overland White with Tan interior that I saw in a carpark and had a loooong chat with the Owner, who was on his 3rd Jeep Grand, a Farmer from the rural area.....that was prior purchasing my bus...didnt have the 40k asking price at that time...mine cost 23k and it was money well spent even if it was to shyte itself, well the trannys almost there, soon....but...driven accordingly and given the standard minimal servicing requirements its booked for another 10,000klm adventure in a few months...it'll do me anyday.

For no other reason then..told you so...this bus is so nice to travel and tow with that my bride saw me looking at options recently..."What are you doing ?"...."Looking around. The tranny kinda limits our ability to 'get away' so Im shopping"...Bride...."If its that bad I'll pay for the new transmission....I love that car"....told you so....her only proviso is that my next purchase is a RAM...she luvvvvs them.

Thats the green light for sure.................... I was thinking how much I like mine yesterday when with the van hooked up we did a fast run of 400km to home, actually had to look in mirror to make sure the van was there and its not a small rig I can tell you and the i Drive makes it even smoother to drive .............. I should look around for a 19/20 model with the diesel and very low kms, buy it and mothball it till when needed, that should see me out then ... Just have to find the money so thats 2 problems....

The GC market has massively corrected recently now that new car stock is starting to pile in, so it may be more realistically in the near future

I would like to find a Laredo that someone has added bull bar and tow bar, low kms but they seem rare to find, academic really as $45K is well beyond me.
