Default AUTOTRANS NOT SHIFTING
driving to work this mornining, stopped at a set of lights, started driving and the auto wouldnt shift out of 1st gear until about 4500 revs.This was under light throttle. Then it became erratic from 1st to 4th in one change.
next set of light it wouldnt change out of 1st at all.
Ive arrived at work and disconnected the battery to see if this helps.

Any one with ideas would be much appreciated as i have to get home tonight

So out of interest did disconnecting the battery work? The reason I ask is that sometimes I have had and others in the club where our chero's don't shift out of second when we are 4*4ing, usually turning the ignition off and restarting will clear this - got everybody baffled but I guess it is a jeep thing...
But if it did not fix it, take it to jeep so they can throw the computer on it but I tipping it might just be a throttle position switch or TPS as they call it [img]smile.gif[/img] ooh and BTW will cost round 2 - 3 hundred to have it replaced :(

connected the battery back up and the jeep drives perfectly again. [img]graemlins/beerchug.gif[/img]

very very very strange.
as you said it must be a jeep thing [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
