Default fuel cap problem

I just bought my new Jeep Wrangler last month woohoo!!! , so happy about it. Just only one problem thatI having now is the fuel cap. It doesn't wanna come out, it's took me nearly an hour in the front of petrol station. Did anyone have a problem like this? Anyway I will bring it to the Centre to change it...

Default fuel cap problem

Ahhh, this sounds familiar. There is a huge thread on this problem somewhere here. It appears that this is has been a problem for a number of people.

Most have either taken it back to the dealer or ripped it off and replaced it with a non-stock one.

Yes, i have had problems with this. I took it back to the dealer and they fixed it in a matter of minutes. Here is the appropriate thread, worth reading to see what happened:

yes i ripped mine off after looking like a dick for about 1/2 an hour at the petrol station, took it back to the dealer and they replaced it on the spot with a keyless one though.

I find that I have to keep the key turned in the unlock position while I turn the cap. I hoven't had any other probs......(yet) [img]graemlins/avid.gif[/img]

Ditto 2 what PK said but only prob i sometimes have is actually putting the key in [img]tongue.gif[/img] .... jeepu nice jeep....now all u need is a lift n bigr tyres on that lowrider [img]tongue.gif[/img] ;) :D
