oh, on thread now, bollicks I suggest light truck tyres are best for your trailer - especially for anti-puncture value - I've said elsewhere how we did the birdsville thing with these tyres (pumped to abt 45~50psi) with no troubles at all when a lot around us were getting blow-outs (if not multiples).

I had BFG AT's which were great until it rained and got muddy. Now run BFG MT's. Soft top though, that noisy I can't hear the tyre noise unless I stick my head out the window. I ran Alka's old Super Swampers, so if you don't like noise then don't get them!

I have run 33x10.5 BFG AT KOs for the last 65000km on my TJ and I am about to get another set the same. Noisy? You won't notice them in a TJ Great tyre IMHO.

Unless you do a lot of mud or want to run really really low pressures they are fine offroad.

Sorry I didn't actually suggest an alternative - I ran STTs on my previous 4-runner and some Kumho ATs on a sierra before that but that was a long long time ago - I rember they were black round things... can't comment much more than that
