I understand that any increase increases pressure, but surely a 10 inch wide rim would have a lot larger offset than a 8 inch rim and work the bearing harder?
I'm looking at 34x10.5's as they will fit on a 8 or 9 inch rim, i'm trying to decrease the width of the rim past the centre line. i don't want to lose tyre height but just lose width.
Tigger, the only reason i'm not going XT's again is they don't have the narrower tyre in a 33 inch or greater.
Like i said in the original post, i'm after ideas so any help taken.
I agree about 16.5's, i'm swaying more for 17 x 8's.
I've found some package deals at 4wheelparts.com, as follows:
35x12.5x17 Superswamper Trxus on 17x8 A/R Mojave Teflons or
34x10.5x17 Super Swamper LTB on 17x8 A/R Victor Teflons.
