Yes its possible, my 95 came with one and is registered as a 7 seater. Though it wasnt a real reason to buy as I prefer the extra space rather than the extra seats.

Wondering if any of you have added a third row of seats to an XJ Cherokee?
Not even sure if this is possible, but curious to hear from anybody who has done it?

I have a 3rd row in mine that was fitted as a factory option. There are a few different types around, but mine folds upright against the left side window, like in an 80 series L/cruiser, and is only suitable for kids up to 38kg.
Thanks for the reply - since had one put in by Belmore Auto Conversions here in Sydney; http://www.belmoreauto.com.au for anyone else who's in the market for extra seating - since then, I've also added a Rhino Rack, with custom made roof basket, a 9000lb Warn Winch, an ARB bullbar, and a set of Lightforce XGT's - still to come are the snorkel and the long range tank....
