the most loyal friend and companion i have ever had died today.she was a 10yr old red cattle cross dingo.she has been suffering from bone cancer for a while and i could not let her suffer any longer.for the first time in 10yrs i arrived home this arvo and my dog did;nt come running upto me waggin her tail.we had her put to sleep at our house and burried her out the back.it;s so quiet now without her around.

stockton beach was one of her favorite spots...

I know how you feel. One of the toughest days of my life when I had to put down my 14 year old bull terrier.

Better to have her off in doggy heaven than suffering though Mitch.

Yep it sux big time my Malamute (12yr old) passed away about this time last year from cancer, still think about him daily, he is also in the back yard. I was devastated. There is a thread on here about his death too. I still have all of his toys and miss him

Keep yer chin up, she's not in pain anymore.

Sorry to hear that Mitch, I honestly believe losing a 'best mate' hits as hard as a human, can't imagine how you feel, I had a close call a while back with mine and I was a mess!

Sorry to hear about your loss Mitch. My best mate, border collie cross is comming up 15 years in Feb, I don't know how I will be able to handle it when it happens. 15 years is one old puppy! He had a close call when the neigbours 2 rotties got through the fence about 6 years ago... he never should have survived what they put him through. At least your mate can now rest in peace
