Cracked in 12 months eh! ???. don't hit things...simple. I'll ditto Tigger and Andy's comments, but I've had mine on since 2003. Replace the washers for larger ones, increases the surface area, less likely to pull through the plastic on minor contacts. Paid $280 (Canadian).
