I got a sump gasket (gray rubber) and rear main seal kit.
$140 delivered to my door the next day.
plus a phone call to order it.

Mascot Motors are a great bunch to deal with.

And ive only ever seen a cork gasket on the tranny

Thanks Robert, thats interesting. Do you know how would it maintain a vacuum given there is a seperate inlet valve feeding off the air box in the front of the rocker cover?

BTW I emailed a guy in the US who sells them and he is prepared to send one over, but it will end up costing about $90.00, so I think I'll stick with my new stock PCV for the moment.

just did an oil pan gasket and rear main seal in a '95...the gasket is one piece rubber with wire reinforcement...jeep dealer cost was $100 and $25 more for the rear main seal...a rubber rocker gasket with steel reinforcement is $70 for the post 95 models...this 95 unit discards the gasket and uses gasket maker instead...pcv and rubber grommet were $37, again from the dealer
this particular unit had a COMPLETELY plugged pcv (you cant even blow or suck thru it) and was pumping oil into the airbox...the rocker cover, rear main, oil pan and filter adaptor o-rings were all leaking from the excess pressure...this little $37 part and $10 of gasket maker can cost you hundreds if not replaced...so break out $50 and spend an hour saving yourself a grand
heres a new vs plugged pcv
