Default Model Question...

Just wondering... besides cosmetic differences between a "sport" model and "renegade" is their any mechanical differences?

Or is it just simply:

* Hartop
* Subwoofer
* Tint
* Sidesteps
* CD Stacker

that it? can someone confirm?

...Yes the stickers... very important. You've pretty muched summed it up yourself. ... Listed as 'options'.. they are priced at.

Hardtop ? ..doesn't appear listed as an option on the Sport although
it gets a mention as a Rubicon option at $2000
6 stacker.. $600.

.. The subwoofer doesn't appear to have a seperate pricing on the general options list... as does the tint. The hardtop is basically a dual top..so you should be getting the 3 piece modular hardtop along with a sunrider soft top. It is also supposed to have a leather wrapped steering wheel but I haven't heard anything on that one. Some were 'in the know' already..but I know I was surprised to find the new JK Renegade...is actually an upspec Sport (X model in the US) ...not the Sahara as we got when the TJ came in.. Hence the lack of colour coded guards and the absence of 17" wheels. At 32,990 for the Sport... 34,990 for the Renegade and 39,990 for the Rubicon... it's a shame they didn't drop the upmarket Sport and bring in the Sahara instead at say... $36,500. Would have given us everything the current Renegade has plus the upsized wheels and tyres.. and colour matched guards. ... Oh yes.. and a different sticker !

News to all, there is no RENEGADE Stickers on both the 2dr and 4dr versions of the new JK Wrangler, the major difference for the Renegade was as mentioned above: 3 Piece modular hardtop with deep tint, upgraded 6-stacker cd player with premium 7 speaker surround, and tubular side steps

renegade pack is an additional $2000 on the 2dr, and $2500 on the 4dr

Hi just ordered a 2 door Renegade CRD red rock in QLD $40.500 on road. Front bumper has to go ASAP and Tires have to been traded to 32” ore 33” but Wheels wont support 33” Big problem was a delivery date, could been supplied with a Black one in early April. Agree there is too much cheep plastic inside, but where it matters e.g. Skit plates it is all gooooood. Checked the car as good as I had time for but was not able to test drive due to the Car was already sold.
