Default Fuel Type

A question for those her who own a JK
What type of fuel are you running ULP or PULP?
And any reasoning for your decision and performance feedback would be great.

I'm running BP Ultimate - habit from my old car. Performance is good, fuel economy is pretty good. Around town (lots of right foot, lots of start-stop) I'm getting about 13 litres per 100 k's. On the highway I'm getting between 10 and 11.

Its funny bout the ultimate, I have a tJ and was running it on the BP ultimate and was getting around 460km out of a full tank, then I tried the Caltex Vortex which is just a straight PULP and Im getting around 480-490km so its got me thinking is the ultimate really that good, and now with Caltex Vortex 98 just coming out it should be interesting to see what I get out of that if I decide to try it.

Does the instruction book or fuel door specify either ULP or PULP?

According to the manual: You can use fuels with a minimum of 91 octane. You shouldn't use Methanol or E85 Ethanol fuels. You can operate on 10% ethanol but fuel consumption will be higher and power will be less.

For your engine you are better of using PULP or a 98 octane. I notice when we dont have a chaoice and we se regular ULP (when we r country) the car does not run as smoothly and you get alot of dirty fuel as well.
