Ok, I'm back - had a good look around last week and aside from the parking ticket i got, and the speeding ticket on the way home we had a blast!

Stayed in the company's preferred motel in Beaumaris, and had a good look around.

We have a friend in Mordialloc, and despite it being more expensive, for us it was the pick of the suburbs. It's a start, I'd say once we have settled in down there and have more time to go exploring, we'll find somewhere else we like.....SWMBO doesn't drive, so public transport close-by is essential. Still working on getting her mobile but the she's likely to claim ownership rights on the jeep.

So far, liked what we saw. Now get to chat to my boss and negotiate the switch.

PS: Love the fact that you sit on a freeway doing 110 from Wodonga to Melbourne! The minute you get back into NSW the speed limits and the roads change every 10 minutes! lol

YEah that new bit straight through Albury Wadonga take about 1/2-3/4 hr off the trip I reckon. You can tell as soon as you get into NSW, roadworks and single lanes over every 2nd hill!
Mind you its way better than most of the "highways" in QLD....
