Default JK Lift Advise...

Hey all, don't know if this has been asked before but I have been thinking more and more that I might do a 2inch lift on our new CRD Unlimited Renegade. Anyone got advice what brand to use etc.

I was thinking springs and shocks etc but I have been seeing a few things on spacers. I don't think they would be any good compaired to a proper lift.

Anyone who has done a lift yet I would love to hear from you.

1 week to go til our Unlimited gets here....

i have spacers as springs were not out yet. i good thing about spacers is that you dont loose the factory ride and handerling wich is pretty good. it still cost about the same. the after market springs kits will proberly be firmer but will allow more drop i think. the trick with getting a good ride from spring kits is matching this to the right shock. i have used rancho and ome in the past. i would use the rancho 9000 over the nitrcharges because of the valveing in the shocks. have herd that the jk kit from ome are very harsh in cold weather? must be a shock thing? some one from arb would have a product update to tell them what is going on their.

I have the TeraFlex 2.5 spacer kit with shocks (same as acetj). The guy who installed it had problems and ended up modifying the stock panhard rod (trackbar) so the wheels would fit back on they were the stock wheels/tyres at the time). Now the body sits about an inch to the left with the drivers side tyres sticking out about an inch and the passenger side tyres about right (Cooper STT 33" tyres on AR rims with 4.5 backspacing)

I'm already considering the ARB kit when it comes out and getting my hands on a replacement panhard rod.....
