Kyro has given this advice to me as well. Can some one clarify how each jeep is diff?

I have been looking for advice on how far I can go with my lift (currently have 2 inch with 31s and spacers as above). I am going to add a winch and steel bar (and wheel carrier like Steve F) but want to get the lift right first.

I figure the weight of bar and winch may drop 2 inch lift down so was going to add another 1 and 3/4 coil spacers and shackles. Thought after weight of winch bar and rear tyre carrier brings it back it may be a full inch higher. Does this sound right? I thought this might give me the opportunity to run some bigger tyres if I want at a later date.

After any thoughts on this....

i got my 96 up to 6" in the rear with 1" trans spacers and had only very slight vibes at 90. so im sure u can go a bit more! its just the front which becomes a problem with camber and steering angles..
